Drone Survey & Mapping

Georeferenced maps and terrain models of your site, captured in a fraction of the time a ground crew needs.

What it is

A drone survey covers ground quickly and records everything it flies over. We plan the flight, place ground control, capture overlapping imagery and process it into maps you can measure from, so your team works from one current, complete picture of the site.

Where it is used

  • Topographic surveys for design and planning
  • Boundary and land parcel surveys
  • Road, canal and pipeline corridor surveys
  • Stockpile and earthwork measurement

Our approach

Accuracy depends on ground control, flight height and the sensor used. We agree the accuracy you need before we fly, then choose the platform and control layout to meet it, and state the achieved accuracy in the report.

How the work runs

  1. 01

    Understand

We learn what you need to decide, measure or prove, and which outputs will get you there.

  2. 02

    Plan

We design the mission: platform, sensor, flight plan, ground control and the permissions the site requires.

  3. 03

    Capture

Our pilots fly the site and check data quality before leaving the field.

  4. 04

    Process

Raw data becomes maps, models, measurements and findings, checked against control.

  5. 05

    Deliver

You receive reports and files in the formats your team uses, with a walkthrough of the results.

Questions about drone survey & mapping

More answers in our drone services FAQ.

How accurate is a drone survey?

It depends on ground control, flight height and sensor. We fix the required accuracy with you first, design the mission around it and report the accuracy actually achieved against check points.

How long does a drone survey take?

Field capture for most sites is completed in a day or a few days. Processing time depends on area and outputs. We confirm a delivery date in the quote.
